Congratulations to Jun Peng for setting a new efficiency record for a perovskite solar cells >1cm2 in size. The new record of 21.6% was certified by the CSIRO Photovoltaics Performance Lab in Newcastle, Australia - the only laboratory in the Southern Hemisphere accredited to certify solar cell efficiencies to international standards. The record cells, which incorporate a nanotextured electron transport layer, achieved an impressive fill factor of 83% and an open circuit voltage of 1.19V.
